If you ever let you cat spend the night outdoors, you’ll surely wonder what he does during the night. That’s exactly what an Australian government organization set out to find out, so they attached GPS trackers to several cats in order to map out their night activity. What they found out not only surprised the cat’s owner but the organization as well.
The images below depict a cat’s night activity and how far out they venture from their original location. The straight lines and lines through objects might be explained by the GPS tracker updating every few seconds, or even minutes.
Some cats traveled 3 kilometers, about 2 miles, away from their home.
And this one, well, we’ll just say he’s got a greater sense of adventure.
