Researchers help dislodge plastic straw from Sea Turtle’s nostril

Sadly, there are about “eight million tons of plastic dumped in our Oceans every year” and much of this garbage ends up hurting marine life like this Sea Turtle which had a plastic straw lodged in one of her nostrils.  Thankfully, researchers were able to remove it.  Unfortunately, the animal is still left bleeding from a scar that will probably take weeks to heal.
